Cristian Grøvlen

Christian Grøvlen is one of Norways leading performing artists and Director of KODE Composers Homes. He is a recipient of the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize, Robert Levin Prize and the Arts Council Grant Norway. He made his debut in Copenhagen in October 2017 and has since then made his debuts with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in February 2019 and with the National Opera Orchestra in Oslo in February 2020.

His first album with keyboard works by Bach was recorded on the acclaimed Norwegian Label 2L and was released summer 2017 to great reviews and was voted among the top recordings in Norway that year by Morgenbladet. His second album “Eventyr”of norwegian piano works was released on 2L in March 2021.

Grøvlen is noted for his imaginative, poetic and virtuosic playing, and he is also a composer. He is passionate about communicating the arts and to bring young people and members of the community in contact with music.
