Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, Olli Mustonen has a unique place on today’s music scene. Following the tradition of great masters such as Rachmaninov, Busoni and Enescu, Mustonen combines the roles of his musicianship as composer, pianist and conductor in an equal balance that is quite exceptional, often bringing them together in one fascinating triple role performance. This season, he takes up the position of Principal Guest Conductor of the Lapland Chamber Orchestra at the beginning of 2023 where he will combine orchestral concerts with chamber music and recitals.

Plamena Mangova
won the second prize at the highly prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2007 and embarked on a brilliant international career, which brought her to almost all corners of the world. She made her studies with Marina Kapatsinskaya at the Sofia State Music Academy in Bulgaria, and then at the Queen Sofia Higher Music School, Madrid with the legendary prof. Dmitri Bashkirov .She also worked ,later on, with prof.El Bacha at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium.

Sara Aimée Smiseth
Sara Aimée Smiseth er fra Haugerud i Groruddalen i Oslo. Hun fullførte masterstudiet i utøving ved NMH i 2013 med Einar Steen Nøkleberg og Einar Henning Smebye som lærere. Hun har også et år på utveksling ved det kgl. flamske konservatoriet i Brüssel, en bachelorgrad i musikkvitenskap og et årsstudium i tverrfaglige kjønnsstudier fra UiO. Siden endt studietid har hun turnert med egenproduserte konsertforestillinger i hele Norge, samt Sverige, USA og Canada.

Christian Grøvlen
Christian Grøvlen is one of Norways leading performing artists and Director of KODE Composers Homes. He is a recipient of the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize, Robert Levin Prize and the Arts Council Grant Norway. He made his debut in Copenhagen in October 2017 and has since then made his debuts with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in February 2019 and with the National Opera Orchestra in Oslo in February 2020.

Aleksei Zaitsev
Aleksei Zaitsev (b. 1995) was born in Outokumpu, Finland. At the age of 13, he became a pupil of Irina Zahharenkova, a noted winner of several international piano competitions. He has been studying at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Dr. Hui-Ying Liu-Tawaststjerna and Teppo Koivisto. In addition, he has attended master classes of Klaus Hellwig, Jerome Lowenthal, Robert Levin, and Matti Raekallio. Currently, Aleksei is pursuing his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Marianna Shirinyan’s class.
