MARTINA MEOLA

Martina Meola is a true child prodigy and one of Europe’s most remarkable young piano talents. Born in Milan in 2012, she began studying piano at the age of six in Chișinău, Moldova, with Professor Irina Bogataia, and was later admitted to the prestigious Young Talents program at the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan, where she studies with Professor Silvia Limongelli.

Despite her young age, Martina has already won numerous international competitions, including First Prize at the Jeune Chopin Competition 2025 in Lugano, where the jury was chaired by Martha Argerich, as well as the Absolute First Prize at the International Piano Competition “Città di Minerbio,” where she also received the Liszt Prize and the EMCY Special Prize. She has additionally been awarded prizes at major competitions across Italy, Spain, Ukraine, and Romania.

As a soloist, Martina has performed in leading concert halls in Milan, Paris, Munich, Brussels, Rome, and Lausanne, and has appeared with orchestra in concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven. Her performances of Beethoven’s Piano Concertos No. 1 and No. 3 have drawn international attention, including appearances at major cultural and diplomatic events in Europe.

With extraordinary musical maturity, brilliant technique, and a natural stage presence far beyond her years, Martina Meola is widely regarded as a rising star of the international piano scene. She joins Stavanger International Piano Festival 2027 as one of its most exciting young guest artists.
