Maciej Stroynowski

Maciej Stroynowski is a Polish pianist, chamber musician, composer and teacher from a family with musical traditions. He studied piano with his brother Tomasz Stroynowski and graduated from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the class of professors Tatiana Schebanova and Jaroslaw Drzewiecki. In addition, he completed postgraduate studies at the University of Stavanger with Professor Erling Eriksen, and has also participated in many courses with international pianists such as Karl-Peter Kamerlander, Daniel Ingo Rohm, and Paul Gulda. Stroynowski began learning the piano at the age of 5 and has since regularly performed in Poland, Germany and Norway, both solo and with orchestras such as the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music Orchestra, the Stavanger Academy of Music Orchestra and the Jæren Symphony Orchestra. He is the winner of the international piano competition in Moscow in 2010 and the laureate of the 3rd International Music Teachers Competition in Warsaw in 2015. In 2017, he founded Ålgårdkonsertene, a group organizing concerts featuring international artists. He has also worked as a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, the University of Music in Stavanger, and many other music schools in Poland and Norway.
