Simeon Goshev

Bulgarian pianist, based in Vienna. His vivid and exciting  interpretations, especially of compositions of the 20th and 21st century have been  highly praised all over Europe. 

For the current 22/23 season, he has solo engagements in the Musikverein Vienna,  Royal Theater in Warsaw, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Mozarteum Salzburg and  many others. His first solo CD, with Bulgarian piano music, was released in January  2022.

The last years in Simeon’s career have been marked by success. In 2019 he won the Bösendorfer competition in Vienna and received the 2nd Prize in the biggestinternational piano competition in Bulgaria – “Pantcho Vladigerov”. In November  the same year, after a busy season with concerts around Europe, he also debuted  as soloist of one of Bulgaria’s most prominent orchestras – the National Radio  Orchestra, performing Beethoven 4th Piano Concerto. 

Simeon has recorded for the Bavarian Radio, the Austrian National Radio (ORF), the  Bulgarian National Radio and Television. He is a laureate of many international  piano competitions: “Leos Janacek” in Brno, “De Bach au Jazz” in Paris, “Evangelia  Tjiarri” in Cyprus and many more. 

The young Bulgarian pianist has finished his musical education in the University of  Music in Vienna (MDW) after studying with world class musicians like Stefan Vladar,  Oleg Maisenberg and Liliya Zilberstein. 

Simeon is deeply interested and involved in many of the aspects of classical music.  In February 2021 he finished a PhD in the National Conservatory in Sofia, Bulgaria  with dissertation on Stravinsky’s ballets and in October 2021 he became part of the  esteemed teaching team of the piano department in the MDW. 

As from 2021 Simeon Goshev is an official Bösendorfer Artist – representing one of  the world’s leading piano brands.
