Michelle Candotti

Michelle Candotti graduated with top honors at the young age of 14 under the guidance of Professor Laura Palmieri. She also earned a Master’s degree in Performance with distinction and an Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London.

She has successfully participated in numerous national and international piano competitions, winning the piano section of the Concorso Internazionale Riviera della Versilia, the XV Best Graduates Showcase in Italy (2010–2011) held in Castrocaro, and the piano section of the Concorso Alessandro Pavia in Piacenza.

At just 17 years old, she reached the solo finals of the 59th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition. She also achieved notable results, including:

Second prize (shared, with no first prize awarded) and the audience prize at the Madesimo International Piano Competition,

Second prize and audience prize at the XV Premio Pianistico Internazionale A. Scriabin,

Second prize, along with the "Sir Philip Ledger Trophy," at the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition,

Second prize, the award for the youngest finalist, and the Italian Senate Medal at the XXIII Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Chopin in Rome,

Third prize at the Massarosa International Piano Competition,

Third prize at the Brescia Classica International Piano Competition,

The "Henk de Junior Jury" prize at the Franz Liszt Competition in Utrecht.

Recently, she won the Crescendo Award and the Premio Crescendo at fORTissimo in Florence, the X Concorso Internazionale Andrea Baldi in Bologna, and reached the semifinals of the 18th Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

Michelle has performed with notable orchestras, including the Orchestra Sinfonica Città di Grosseto conducted by Maestro G. Emilsson, the Orchestra Filarmonica di Bacau led by Maestro O. Balan, the Royal Philharmonic Concerto Orchestra conducted by Maestro B. Wright, and the Orchestra della Fondazione Goldoni under the baton of Maestro M. Menicagli.

She has given recitals in prestigious venues such as the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone (broadcast on Radio3), the Teatro Manzoni and Sala Mozart in Bologna, the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Sala Casella for the Roman Philharmonic, the Auditorium Puccini in Torre del Lago, the Sala dei Giganti and Palazzo Zacco-Armeni in Padua, Palazzo Albrizzi and Palazzo Cavagnis in Venice, Orbetello Lagoon for the Orbetello Piano Festival, the Sala dei Concerti in Prato, the Teatro delle Commedie and Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, the Teatro Comunale in Fiuggi, the Stables Theatre in Hastings (London), the Royal Albert Hall in the Elgar Room, Tasis in Lugano, the Sala Chopin in Warsaw, and as a young talent, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Paris.

She has attended masterclasses with esteemed pianists including Maestro B. Petrushansky, A. Delle Vigne, R. Plano, R. Cappello, J. Soriano, G. Scott, D. Pollack, and V. Ashkenazy, earning enthusiastic praise for her performances.

Michelle is currently studying under Maestro Enrico Pace at the "Incontri col Maestro" Academy in Imola, Professor Carlo Palese in Livorno, and Maestro Dmitri Alexeev.
